Cars Meeting!

The CARS meeting series started in association with the WAAVP 2005 conference in Christchurch, New Zealand, and is celebrating its 20th anniversary. It will be held on the 17th of August 2025 in association with the WAAVP conference in Curitiba, Brazil (the program is being prepared). Initially started as an ‘International Consortium to develop Anthelmintic Resistance Single (CARS) nucleotide polymorphism markers,’ throughout nine meetings, it evolved into the Consortium for Anthelmintic Resistance and Susceptibility (CARS).

Topics to be discussed at CARS include the mechanism, evolution, spread, detection, avoidance, and reversal of anthelmintic resistance, as well as the susceptibility of helminths toward established or new compounds. The CARS meeting will be a great opportunity to exchange and discuss current findings and bring together researchers with common interests on the CARS topic, identify and address current research gaps, set up collaborations, and discuss mutual research interests. We hope you can join us for this celebration in Curitiba!
